Nutkin Lodge
Camping Farmstay extraordinaire. We where fortunate enough to stay with Linda and Chris on one of their new powered campsites. Can't recommend this spot highly enough. A wonderful mix of camping, farmstay under the starts and a little bit of luxury in an amazing part of WA.

Sunnyhurst Chalets Book direct
We spent a few nights at the chalets with another family (5 adults and 4 kids in total) The cabin was four bedrooms and very spacious with a beautiful view over the property.First impression was cossy and quiet. Whether with family or solo, it would be a nice place to stay. The kids loved playing with the animals and the friendly chickens happily walk right up and peck you on the feet. The pool was great and mini golf even better.Us adults went for a 2 min stroll over to the next door Sunny hurst cellar door, vineyard. Very friendly owner with a very nice Sauvignon BlancThe Swiss style cabins where surprisingly warm though it as quiet cool outside.Very loverly stay would definitely come back again any day. Such a peaceful area of Bridgetown. Thanks

Kerriley Park Farmstay
We booked Rosella Cottage for three nights. We arrived mid afternoon and found the cottage to be suffocatingly hot. Granted it was a hot day but windows in the cottage had been left wide open which of course let the heat in. We located the air conditioner and turned it on to cool the place down before the rest of the party arrived. We looked for air con units in the three bedrooms but there were none. When accommodation is advertised as having reverse cycle air conditioning I think the average person would think the whole cottage would be air conditioned. Gradually the two bedrooms closest to the air-con cooled off but it took till mid evening for enough cool air to float through to the back bedroom. Two of the group took their shoes off upon arrival and soon found the soles of their feet were becoming very dirty. The floor may possibly have been swept or vacuumed before our arrival but I feel sure it had not been mopped. I visited Joanne, the owner and mentioned the heat in the cottage and the floor being dirty. I asked her for a mop and some cleaning solution so I could mop the living area. Joanne is very friendly and helpful so of course she obliged. She suggested opening doors and windows to cool the place off. I mentioned the peacocks might come in the doors and she said they were opportunistic . We found this to be true.Opening doors and windows might seem a simple thing to do and it would have helped a lot as afternoon turned into evening and the outside temperature cooled off. However flyscreens on doors and windows were minimal and those that were there were ineffective. Apart from the kitchen window all other windows were without fly screens. There were two sliding doors, one at the front entry and one in the back bedroom. The front flyscreen was torn along the edges and in a fragile state. The back bedroom door didn’t have a flyscreen at all. We were not at all keen to have the cottage full of mosquitoes or peacocks so the doors and windows had to remain closed. The two front bedrooms were presentable. However the back bedroom was not good. It was basically a narrow verandah that had been poorly closed in to make the cottage bigger. It was not at all suitable for paying guests. There was one tiny window which you couldn’t see out of unless you stood up. There was the sliding door onto a small concreted area at the back. This was a room with two beds in it. The room was so narrow that you couldn’t reach the second bed unless you walked sideways around the end of the first bed. There was a floor fan that helped move the air but it was not the sort of room you would pay to stay in. The single bed in that room needs looking at because it sinks in the middle. For a balanced review I want to add l the good things about Kerriley. The kitchen was well equipped. Everything needed was supplied. We had plenty of hot water. The towels were very soft and clean. The shower and toilet were very clean. There were plenty of games and toys and this was really appreciated. Other folk have commented on the ants. Yes, there were some but we never really found them to be an issue. The property is very quiet. The thing we liked best about Kerriley was the animal feeding each morning. The couple who do the animal feeding are brilliant with children. They remember each child’s name and ensure that all of them are actively involved in the feeding process. This is a real tourist attraction not to be missed. When I got home I checked on the Kerriley Park website. There were several photos of rooms in the other cottages but no specific photos of the interior of our Rosella Cottage. I wondered if this was intentional. A photo of the back bedroom in our cottage would not have resulted in any booking being made, I’m sure. Joanne gave us a discount on our accommodation when we made the booking a few weeks ago. Was this discount given because it was known that Rosella was very run down. We left the accommodation after only two nights, preferring to lose our money rather than stay longer.

Bickley Valley Cottage
From a warm and helpful welcome from Petra to a cosy comfortable bed followed by a delicious breakfast we couldn't fault anything. We enjoyed Harrie's wine so much we bought more! The cottage is quiet and in a beautiful setting with views over the valley and only a short drive to local wineries and restaurants. Petra's talent is obvious in her pottery and, yes, we bought a piece too.

Margaret River Hideaway & Farmstay
Great place to stay. So many animals to interact with all day long. My kids had such a great time here. The manager Kim is amazing on the final day of the stay she took our daughter on a buggy ride to go around feeding all the animals. Would definitely stay here again.

Orchard Glory Farm Resort Australia
This is the best campsite in WA in my humble opinion. I have planned and attended church camps hosted here for nearly 15 years now and the only reason I have ever looked elsewhere is because we exceeded maximum capacity of this venue. If you’re looking for a campsite for a comfortable camp or retreat then you can’t look past this one. Staff are very helpful and have never disturbed the camp (in fact they have proved most supportive in my case). The price is a non issue when you consider what you’re actually getting here. Easily the best campsite in the region, if not the state.

Gabyon Station Stay
The station is a true outback experience. It was immensely beautiful, and the hospitality (Helen and Gemma are just lovely) was amazing. The quad biking and horse riding was so much fun. Helens home cooking highly recommended. It’s the best station yet, the kids didn’t want to leave
